Disney is keeping up the momentum with hit shows such as Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly place, but as these start to fall by the wayside (Hannah Montana is approaching its final season), they are looking for new people to take up the role of Miley and Selena.

It seems that Mendler might be set for stardom as she has been cast in the brand new show.

Joined by a number of leading Disney stars, it looks to be a real hit.

Sadly Labor Pains has not received great reviews. In my opinion it is worth a watch, but I wouldn’t buy the DVD.

Bridgit Mendler will do more work with Disney later this month, playing a leading character in a four part mini-series. In the series of four episodes, the Wizards will be fighting against an all-new threat, vampires. One of the key vampires will be played by her. It might seem hard to believe such an innocent actress playing such a role, but I’m sure she’ll pull it off great.

She is going to play a character called Juliet, and she will have a fling with Justin on the show. Juliet’s family will move to Waverly, and will open a competing store called Late Night Bite. The Russos get worried about this new store, and send in Justin to spy, but when he locks eyes with Juliet a romance develops. In true Romeo and Juliet style (Juliet?), they are not allowed to date eachother because their families are in competition.
